With a successful career in travel technology behind her, Ms. Nelson returned to her hometown of Norman, OK. where, in 2013, she began studying art under Carol Armstrong and realized her dream of becoming a painter. That same year her very first oil painting won “Best in Show” in the Students of Carol Armstrong Exhibition of more than 150 works by students and professional artists.

Since then, this prolific artist has been invited to participate in numerous gallery shows, festivals, auctions and civic art walks. Her paintings may often be seen in design stores and restaurants, and she is much sought after for commissions.
